The Shield and Key holographic overlay is a popular hologram design that features multi-spectrum images of large shields and small keys. Each shield includes the words ‘Seal of Authenticity’ at the top and ‘Genuine’ at the bottom. Within the shield emblem is a five point star that contains the words ‘Secure’ and ‘Valid’.

Transparent overlays enhance the security of the ID card. Holograms help with quick visual identification of an ID card. Since they are applied over the ID card, they help to prevent alterations, copying, and duplication of the card. Holograms also extend the life of the card by protecting against wear and abrasions. All of our holograms are designed to fit standard credit card sized ID cards (2.125” x 3.375”). The hologram's full spectrum image can only be seen at certain viewing angles, which allows visibility of the underlying ID card information. The total thickness of each overlay is 1.5 mil. Each hologram is peel and stick format and are manually applied by hand to the surface of the butterfly pouch after lamination.
